The Situation

Our client, a mid-sized manufacturer with 200+ employees, depended on a single supplier for critical components. Three years into a five-year contract, the supplier just... walked. No warning, no negotiation - they got a better offer elsewhere and bailed.

Production stopped. Shipments got delayed. The client was bleeding about $150K per week while scrambling to find alternatives. Worse yet, their own customers were threatening breach claims.

What We Did

First things first - we got a temporary restraining order forcing the supplier to continue deliveries during litigation. That bought us breathing room. Then we dove into the contract and found they'd violated three separate clauses, plus breached an exclusivity agreement they'd signed earlier.

But here's the thing - we knew a long court battle would cost more than it was worth. So while preparing for trial, we negotiated hard. We documented every dollar of damages, every missed deadline, every customer complaint. Made it crystal clear that fighting us would cost them way more than settling.
